December 24, 2008 In Moscow the agreements on medical transportation service was signed between Transaero Air Lines and Give Life, Nastenka and Happy World charity foundations. Under those agreements Transaero provides to each of these foundations 70 privileged tickets for transporting children with oncology and haematology on the company domestic and international flights. Tickets are also provided for the persons who accompany children, and for medical staff carrying bone marrow for the transplanting operations in the Russian clinics. Transaero believe that the main purpose of the signed agreements is to enhance the accessibility of treatment for children with oncology diseases from Russian regions and CIS countries in Moscow and foreign clinics. A Transaero Air Lines package program for the protection of children’s health includes medical transportation of children with oncology and rehabilitation programs for disabled children with oncology Back to the Future, and corporate volunteer program A Trip to Transaero Country. We thank Transaero Air Lines and personally its Director General Mrs. Olga Pleshakova for cooperation.

December 20, 2008 Special thanks to a tall beautiful girl who brought a pink holiday dress to the meeting at Shokoladnitsa cafe. Little Jeina from Daghestan dreamed about such dress for long time, and was happy to receive it.
December 19, 2008 In the context of a program “Take alive” (“Brat’ zhiviem”) a charitable concert “Rock to help” (“Rok v pomosh”), organised by our friends, a youth online radio station “MoonRadio”, took place. Part of the sums realised on the ticket-selling will be transferred to our Foundation. We thank internet radio MoonRadio for their support and attention to our foundation!
December 16, 2008 We heartily thank “Sofia” Foundation and the co-ordinator of a project “Let your heart touch the heart…” Tatiana Shpotova, all the teachers and volunteers that participated in the project for their fascinating classes with our children. Thanks to different creative work-shops, sincere affection and the teachers’ efforts children not only got useful knowledge and emotional rehabilitation, but also found good friends. December 15, 2008 We are deeply thankful to the regional Social Organisation “Teachers’ club “Live till Monday”” (“Dozhiviom do ponedelnika”) and to the organisation’s Director Emma Rautbart in person for the presents delivered to the hospital. And children and teenagers were happy with the colouring books and infantile literature. Because they need attention and support so much!
December 12, 2008 NTV TV company came to the hospital. They made a report about Dinora. They asked Dinora’s mother to talk about how the money for the treatment was raised. December 10, 2008 Diapers arrived at the hospital! Two companies: JSC “D Distribution” and “The Snow Queen” (“Snezhnaya koroleva”) participated in an action “Dry bottom” and collected and brought to the hospital a big quantity of diapers. December 8, 2008 Our Foundation is extremely thankful to the NTV TV company and to the “Main character” (“Glavnij geroj”) for their report about Mechrona Gadoeva and Dinora Nigmatulaeva. Due to the TV program a lot of money started to come to support Dinora’s family, that is in a very difficult financial situation now, as well as for the girl’s treatment.
December 2, 2008 The national action “Dry bottom” finished successfully! Today the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology brought extremely a lot of diapers. All the diapers were quickly spread between the mothers. We thank everyone who took part in the action. Thank you for your help!
December 1, 2008 Johnson & Johnson transferred $ 10,000 for paying transportation expenses of the sick children and their attendants. Today the travel of seven families has been paid. We thank Johnson & Johnson for invaluable help, as well as Mrs. Carol МacCarren who was the initiator of the project.
November 19, 2008 Supermodel Natalia Vodianova, the head of the charitable foundation “Bare hearts” (Obnazhennie serdtsa”), opened a playground on the territory of the oncological center. The children’s town consists of a big two-decked ship with steep staircases and chutes and the swings, there is a playing zone for elder children that has darts and Ping-Pong. The playground is built with the support of the Moscow City government. The charitable foundation “Bare hearts” that helps ill children, was raised by the international fashion star Natalia Vodianova and her husband Justin Portman. Raising of the funds for building playgrounds and game centers all over Russia is carried out in during auctions and charitable parties.
November 20, 2008 Hugh Grant, a famous UK actor, visited the hospital. With interest he listened to professor Mentkevich telling about the Foundation activities, talked to children, gave autographs. We thank Mr. Hue Grant for helping the Scientific and Research Institute for Children’s Oncology to purchase a computer tomographic scanner.
November 19, 2008 We thank Moscow Business School for free participation in the seminars on Planning marketing and PR events and their calculation of their efficiency, and Key management skills. The seminars were useful and informative for our workers.
November 17, 2008 The Fourth National Action “Dry Bottom” started. Any one can participate in this action. In order to do this you should buy one package of disposable diapers and give it to the members of our Foundation. The diapers will be given to parents of the children that are on treatment in the SRI of pediatric oncology and hematology. Moreover, you can come to the final festival of “Dry Bottom” to the Apshu club (Klimentovsky side-street 10, building 1) and put your most sincere children’s present under the symbolic Christmas tree. Remember that not only small children need diapers, sometimes elder children and teenagers have to use them too. A disposable diaper is the best present! You can organise recollection of diapers in your office, do it together with your friends. The action will last till December the 2nd. The founders of the “Dry Bottom” program are the “All together” (“Vse vmeste”) union.
November 13, 2008 Our foundation took part in an every year Christmas fair in Park Place, organised by our friends and permanent sponsors the American Women Organisation (AWO). We thank everyone who came and joined us!
November 10, 2008 Eminent guests came to see children in the hospital in the context of the charitable action “The small light of hope” (Ogoniok nadezhdi”), organised by the members of the youth internet radio “MoonRadio”. A famous clown Letter-eater (Bukvoed) made children glad by his incredible bright musical performance. He performed a mini-play: he played violin, danced step, juggled, performed funny sketches. Children took part in competitions that were held by the employees of the MoonRadio and by the clown, they had a lot of fun and played with the balloons. Then one of the participants of the event, Sofia Ignatova, actress, TV presenter and singer of a “Drugie pravila” band, sang along with the children the cartoon theme songs. At the end of the party children got presents – developing and table games. We thank the youth radio “MoonRadio” for collaboration.
November 6, 2008 We thank the Exhibition Organisation “ROSinEKS” and Akopova Anastasia personally for given diapers and vested means of personal hygiene for baby-minding for the patients of the SRI of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of Blokhin.
October 16-26, 2008 In the thick of the Indian summer in the gorgeous metropolitan park Kolomenskoe farmstead an unusual open air exhibition “Old Moscow 3D” took place. With the help of special stereo-glasses the visitors could see a 3D image of the streets of the capital, of its embankments, architectural ensembles and temples. The photos were shown in pairs, so the spectators could compare the modern megapolis with Moscow of the end of the XIX century. According to the intention of the organisers, reviviscent pictures made it possible for the public to see what was obtained and what was lost by the capital in the past decades. When the exhibition is closed, a part of money raised through selling stereo-glasses will be directed to our foundation. We heartily thank Evguenij Shevchuk for collaboration!
October 23, 2008 As one of the honourable guests our Foundation was invites to the anniversary party of Hard Rock Cafe. The atmosphere of a holiday and fourchette promoted real rock-n-roll mood of the members of the Foundation. In the heat of the party Hard Rock Cafe was visited by the “B-2” band. Folks performed public’s favourite songs. All songs were performed “live”. After the concert the party started. We wish to our friends Hard Rock Cafe a Happy Birthday! We wish them prosperity and hope for further collaboration.

October 23, 2008 Gruner+Yar Magazine editorial house has given a wonderful present to our children – cognitive children’s magazine “Geolionok”. “Geolionok” is a magazine for children about the world around them: far away countries and different civilizations, mysteries of the past centuries and sensational discoveries. As well as stories about animals, reports from the shooting of favourite films, stories about children’s life world over. “Geolionok” is very bright and colourful, that is why our children started examining the pictures as soon as they saw the magazines. Each one took a magazine to their ward. We thank Gruner+Yar Magazines editorial house and Olga Sokolovskaya personally! We are hoping for further collaboration.
October 12, 2008 An action-call took place on the square before the Center (Palace) of Infant Creative Work on Vorobievi Gori in the context of realisation of the social-cultural project “The city of Good” (Gorod Dobra). The event is held by the Agency of glamorous feasts GreenApples together with the department of politics towards family and youth of the city of Moscow. The action aims to draw people’s attention to the problems of orphanages, patronage families, orphan-asylums; it calls upon the citizens to show kindness to those who are around them, to themselves and to the world. Our foundation was invited to the event as an honourable guest. We have presented special mugs with the logo of “Nastenka” foundation and heart-postcards wishing all the best from the children from the RSI of children’s oncology and hematology to the children from the “Social refuge for children and teenagers”. We were presented to a medal “For kindness” and to a Gratifying letter of a participant of the event Action-call “The city of good”, signed by the deputy director of the department of the politics towards Youth of the city of Moscow T.A. Neverova.
October 11, 2008 An unusual feast “Sunny day” took place in the State Darwin’s museum. Every year “Sunny Day” brings together children who won the combat with a severe disease – oncology. Organisers, members and representatives of the leadership of the hospital, participants and presenters of the event did there best to make this happening joyful, bright and memorable. And this time there have also been miracles! Children’s groups, peculiar clowns, an animal trainer and other artists took part in the concert. Famous actors, Anton Makarski and Dmitry Kharatian also came to congratulate children. After the celebration each child got his present.
October 8, 2008 We had the honor to be present at The album which does not exist…, a photo exhibition arranged by our old friends and partners, Volunteers’ Club. The exhibition was opened in the halls of the International Artistic Fund. The photo exhibition is made of over 60 photographs of children in the age of 3 to 18. All the photos were taken by the Club volunteers during their trips to the mentee orphanages and boarding schools. The main objective of the charity photo exhibition was to raise public awareness of the lives of orphans. Representatives of Charity Funds and Organizations, specialists of child welfare department, specialists of the youth policy department of the Government of the RF, as well as prominent political figures and other famous people were invited for the exhibition.
October 6, 2008 Mrs. Jamilya Alieva, the chairwoman of our Foundation, took part in the jubilee reception in Pushkin museum on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of CAF Russia. CAF is a non-commercial organization whose aim is to make charity effective. The organization strives to increase the amount of donations, works on establishing favorable conditions for philanthropy, provides assistance to charity organizations and those who support them. At certain point of time our Foundation received invaluable help of CAF specialists during the period of registration and establishing. We congratulate the CAF team, which is great, highly professional and friendly, and wish them all the best!
October 5, 2008 In the gallery of Leonid Shishkin, with the participation of American Women Organization a charity auction of Soviet artists’ works from the Gallery collection was held for the support of our Foundation. After the end of the auction RUR 110,000 were contributed to our Foundation. We say our heartfelt thanks to the management of Leonid Shishkin gallery and the American Women Organization for invaluable help to the Foundation. All the money will be spent for the implementation of the Foundation first priority program – Helping the Hospital.
October 4, 2008 Anastasia Severina (PR manager of the Foundation) attended the reception of STANHOME company. STANHOME is a worldwide brand specialized in manufacturing of exceptional quality products for perfect hygiene of the entire house. Anastasia expressed gratitude to all the employees and management of the company for their support of the Foundation programs.
October 3, 2008 A meeting of Moscow Charity Assembly was held, where our Foundation is a member. At the meeting the representatives of different foundations shared the latest news, discussed the charter of the Assembly. The outcome of the meeting was the election of the managing body of the Moscow Charity Assembly.
October 1, 2008 In the department of chemical therapy and hemoblastosis that has around 50 children on treatment, a new project has started under the hospice of SOFIA Regional Charity Social Fund for the development of human, society and culture. The project is called, Let your heart touch a heart… The aim of the it is to promote healthy life style and prevent asocial behavior, emotional rehabilitation of children from different target groups. From now on, every Wednesday the Foundation volunteers Masha Veselovskaya and Sasha Shpotova carry out creative lessons with children. The project coordinator is Tatyana V. Shpotova. The program of such lessons offers a number of events that use emotional rehabilitation methods, such as nature therapy, ethno therapy and art therapy. At the lessons children will learn how to make post cards, articles of threads and ropes. September 30, 2008 The Day of beauty for Mothers has become a tradition. Hairdressers and designers spent all evening doing hair styles and make-ups. They cut hair, styled it, curled, colored and did everything to make mothers look even more beautiful. There were more than enough clients for a new hair-style. While waiting for their turn, mothers enjoyed tea with sweets and discussed the latest gossips at relaxing music. The Day of Beauty went in a pleasant and cheerful atmosphere. All the mothers were pleased with their new image. At the end each mother received a present from our constant sponsors, Yves Rocher and Tupperware. We sat our heartfelt thanks to the graduates of Entrepreneurship college # 11 for participation and assistance in carrying out the festivity, and our sponsors for their gifts.
September 29, 2008 The unusual guests, fit-up family theater Kotofey came to visit the children. They goes around all Moscow and play their amazing performances. Kotofey is made of Maria Ovcharenko and Alexander Mudryak, puppeteers who together embody the creative ideas on an improvised stage of an unusual theater. Performances of Kotofey theater received high appreciation not only from spectators but also from professional puppeteers. Kotofey is a participant and a laureate of many puppet festivals. Today Kotofey brought joy to the youngest patients. The stage of the theater was filled with complete Nonsense! The small children liked this merry and funny show a lot, but older children and adults also enjoyed watching it. Nonsense tells different stories about home pets and birds based on counting rhymes and poems of favorite children’s authors. After the show children gladly took pictures with the Nonsense characters. We thank heartily the Kotofey theater team and especially the actors, Maria and Alexander, for the unusual performance. Thank you so much!
September 18, 2008 Our friend from the American Women Organization visited the hospital again. They brought food and domestic cleaning items for the mothers’ room, and small gifts for every child.
September 4-7, 2008 The Million Hearts event took place at the 2nd Interregional Fair and Exhibition called Tea Gardens at Vorontsovo estate. August 13, 2008 An informational, publicity and recreational event, The Wave of Health took off from the berth of Severny River side station of Moscow. On the board of Yuri Nikulin comfortable motorship along Volga and Kama rivers the best specialists from the country’s leading medical centers went with the aim to raise awareness and implement the latest technologies for sanitation of the population, providing targeted help to children with congenital heart disease, vision and hearing disorders. Representatives of the Public Chamber of the RF, non-commercial organizations will discuss questions of development of the civil society. The route of the event: Moscow – Perm – Samara (with entering big cities of Uglich, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Nizhny Novgorod, Cheboksary, Nizhnekamsk). Our Foundation also took part in the Wave of Health event.

June 1, 2008 The Internation Children Protection Day. The chief of our foundation was invited by Dina Korzun and Chulpan Khamatova to participate in "Hope" charitable action. More than 500 people gathered together to speed up the building of the new centre for treatment of severe children's diseases.

May 5, 2008 One more "Day of Beauty for Moms" in hospital. The whole evening hairdressers Natasha Chadushkina and Tatiana Rosina worked for moms. Then, as the tradition goes, we had tea with sweets. The hairdressers worked till night to make all mothers happy a bit. In the end of the evening each mom got a present from Yves Rocher company. We thank the hairdressers and Yves Rocher company for this wonderful evening!
April 28, 2008 We are lucky to find good people! 9-year old Bayram Yandiev from Yakutsk is in hospital now. 9 months doctors did all they could to let him live. Thanks God, the treatment helped! Soon Bayram and his mom will go home. He dreams to see his younger sister and brother, the parents had to send them to their granny for the period of Bayram's treatment. But his parents had no money for tickets. We asked Domodedovo airline to help the family and got an answer right away! The company gives a free ticket to Bayram, his little brother and sister and 50% off for mother's ticket. Thanks a lot to "Domodedovo airlines" and A.Stognushenko for their help!
April 22, 2008 We've got a good news! We have made first steps in cooperation with "Transaero" airline. "Transaero" airline gave a free flight from Khabarovsk to Moscow and from Moscow to Khabarovsk to 2-year old Danya Shvab and his mom. Danya has a severe oncological disease, he has to go through control tests in Moscow every 3 months, but the family can't afford it. Thanks to "Transaero" company, Danya can do that!
"Transaero" offered their help also in the future: to the families with sick kids, doctors of the Children's Oncology and Hematology Research Institute. We are very thankful to "Transaero" company, director general Olga Pleshakova and social project specialist Elena Zhuravleva.
April 8, 2008 Our American friends from the American Women Association brought foodstuff and household chemicals for mothers'ward and presented hygiene sets to the parents. Thanks!
April 3, 2008 Famous artist Svetlana Aristova gave master-class on how to make hand-made cards. Svetlana taught kids to make wonderful cards, then she places their works for sale on "Masters fair" website. The money for cards she gives to the parents of the sick kids. We thank Svetlana Aristova for her help to our kids!
April 1, 2008 The holiday of joy and fun was in our hospital. Clowns and magicians came to our kids. The performance was wild and funny! The kids like magic tricks. We thank clowns and magicians for the wonderful performance, special thanks goes to Gulnara and Oksana Belokrysenko for the gifts and sweets for the little patients.
March 26, 2008 Bowling tournament to support kids with oncological diseases took place at 5.00 pm in "Apelsin" club. There was a charitable lottery with prizes from our constant sponsors. February 15, 2008 "Day of kids with oncological diseases" was in our hospital. Actors, clowns and our kind friend Amayak Akopyan came to the kids. The performance was cheerful and bright. February 6, 2008 Katya Kurochkina asked our foundation for help. She had an oncological disease in childhood, since then she has had problems with her health. She lives with her mom, works half-time and studies for accountant. She has to pay for her studies. January 13, 2008 Santa Claus with his granddaughter came to the hospital to wish the sick kids all the best on New Year's occasion. That was a great surprise! The kids gladly participated in games, recited verses, sang new-year songs with Santa Claus. The celebration was very joyful and kind. Every kid got a present from santa Claus. We heartily thank Oksana Belokrysenko and Gennady Semin for the organization of this holiday! Big thanks to all who helped to this performance.
