One more course is still to come, and then Masha will be discharged and finally send home. All the money for her treatment was collected with the help of relatives and charity organizations, but now, when we can only rejoice Masha’s recovery and her soon return home, her parents are terribly worried because they will not be able to bring their daughter for control. All the resources are exhausted and the family is not able to pay for air tickets and paid medical examinations! Due to a coup in Moldova the father of the family lost his job, so at the moment they are in an extremely hard financial situation. Please help Masha! |

Veronica Drabanyuk, born in 2008 Ukraine, Zastavlya village. Diagnosis: tumor on the yolk sac combined with homologous teratoma. State: little Veronica just came to the Institute for Pediatric Oncology and Haematology. She has just started the first course of chemical therapy. Overall 4 courses are planned. Veronica got sick in Autumn 2009. On November 26 in the city of Khmelnitsky the girl had a surgery for the removal of tumor. After the surgery Veronica had 2 more courses of chemical therapy when it turned out that the tumor was not removed completely and the focus is still there. Her parents made the decision about taking her urgently to Moscow. Since Veronica is not a Russian national treatment here is not free for her. One course of chemical therapy costs approx. RUR 200-300 thousand, depending on individual treatment. The family alone is just not capable of paying such amount to cover for treatment of their only daughter! We are asking everyone to respond and help Veronica! |
